Red Cross aids Kenmore family after house fire

The family that lives at 80 West Hazeltine Ave. in Kenmore needed Red Cross assistance for temporary housing after their two-story home was severely damaged in a fire Sunday night.

Kenmore fire crews were called to the home about 8:55 p.m. and had the fire out about an hour later. Four people in the family were received assistance in finding a place to stay because of the extent of the fire damage to the house, according to Kenmore fire officials.

No damage amount was released and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
