The Robert Warner Rehabilitation Center at Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo will be renamed for a longtime children's charity that has supported the hospital since 1962.
The center, which will move to the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus in October, will be renamed the Variety Tent #7 Robert Warner Rehabilitation Center. It will move with other clinics to the new Oishei Children's Outpatient Center in the Conventus medical and research building at 1001 Main St.
Variety has supported programs and services of Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo with funds to improve care to pediatric patients. The partnership began with Dr. Warner, who helped launch the Variety Kids Telethon to raise money for the rehabilitation center. The telethon raised over $1 million in April in its 55th year.
The rehab center offers comprehensive services, including diagnostic, evaluative and therapeutic services to children with known or suspected disabilities.
