A Clarence preschool will host an open house and a basket raffle from 6 to 9 p.m. June 16.
Families, including children, are welcome to attend the event at Sweet Charlottes, 10255 Main St.
“Sweet Charlottes is a space for children of all ages and abilities to play, explore and experience,” owner Molly Pitman said in a news release. “In addition to offering open play, babysitting services and an all-inclusive preschool program, our overall mission is to raise awareness about support services for families affected by autism by donating a percentage of all proceeds to Autistic Services and other like-minded organizations.”
Pitman is the mother of two children, including a son, Donovan, diagnosed with autism at 23 months.
The Sweet Charlottes Sweet Start Preschool, for children ages 2 to 4, will expand for the 2017-18 school year. The all-inclusive preschool program employs teachers who are certified in early education and special education, and offers on-site services for IEP students.
Teachers will be among those present on Friday night.
A basket raffle will round out the festivities, with proceeds supporting new opportunities for sensory play at Sweet Charlottes.
