Buffalo Police pull man's body from Scajaquada Creek

The body of a dead man was recovered Tuesday from Scajaquada Creek near Forest and West avenues, a Buffalo Police spokesman said.

Police initially responded to the call just after 9 a.m. Tuesday, after a passerby spotted the body in the water, the spokesman said.

The Buffalo Police's Underwater Recovery Team was called to the scene to retrieve the body, according to authorities.

According to authorities, the body could possibly have been in the water for some time. The police spokesman said an autopsy will be conducted to determine whether or not foul play was involved.
