The Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda School Board will get an update on the district's ongoing capital project from Campus Construction at its meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The $52 million phase 2 of the project began last summer and includes work at all nine district buildings, as well as athletic fields and auditoriums. Work will be done over the next two to three years and remains on schedule and under budget, according to Campus Construction.
The rubberized track surface at Kenmore East's Adams Field was completed in May and lane striping will be completed in June. Kenmore West's Crosby Field is nearing completion along with the installation of lockers, new bleachers and a press box. The gymnasium addition at Kenmore East High School is expected to be completed by September.
Continuing work at the middle and elementary schools includes technology upgrades, auditorium renovations, window installations, new paint and smoke walls.
