WINNERS WANTED – More than 70 baskets and gift certificates are offered by the Friends of the East Aurora Library in a basket raffle and silent auction beginning today and continuing through June 21 in the library at 550 Main St., East Aurora. Winners will be drawn June 24 at the used book sale in the First Presbyterian Church across the street.

LOOKING AHEAD – Representatives from the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority will discuss the proposed Metro Rail extension into Amherst at the next meeting of the Eggertsville Community Organization at 7 p.m. Tuesday in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 4007 Main St., Eggertsville. There will also be an update on the proposed methadone clinic. All are welcome to attend.

CRISIS OF FAITH – G. Stanford Bratton, executive director and CEO of the Network of Religious Communities, will speak at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in the IMAGINE Buffalo lunchtime lecture series in the Central Library at Lafayette Square in downtown Buffalo.
The program will begin at noon in the Ring of Knowledge on the library’s main floor with a video lecture entitled “Irreligion Rising: Why More Americans Are Becoming Secular” recorded at Chautauqua Institution in 2015. Admission is free. You can bring a lunch or purchase one at the library’s Fables Cafe nearby.

DRUMSTICK BEAT – The Days Park Block Club in Buffalo’s Allentown neighborhood will host Grillin’ For Grass, its fourth annual chicken barbecue fundraiser, from 3 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the western end of the park across from the Elmwood Village Charter School. The Kenmore East High School Class of 1977 will hold a 40th reunion party from 6:30 to 11:30 p.m. Aug. 19 at Banchetti’s Grove, 550 North French Road, Getzville.
