Buffalo police arrested a man early Monday, after a witness told officers that a woman was being raped in the vicinity of Walden Avenue and Miller Street.
Damani A. Crolle, 43, of Buffalo was arrested about 3 a.m. by officers when they discovered Crolle holding a woman against her will, police said. Crolle had violated a court order of protection that required him to stay away from the victim and to refrain from unlawful conduct towards her, according to police.
Crolle was charged with aggravated criminal contempt, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, third-degree assault and harassment, police said. He also was charged with possession of a small amount of crack cocaine.
