Niagara Falls boy mauled by two dogs may have suffered a stroke

Kaden Mitchell, the 7-year-old Niagara Falls boy mauled by two 160-pound Rottweilers, remained heavily sedated and was sent to Buffalo General Medical Center Sunday for an MRI because of fears he may have suffered a stroke in the attack by the two dogs, his grandfather, Roy Gregory, said Sunday.

Gregory told The News on Sunday that his grandson was returned to Women and Children's Hospital after about 90 minutes at Buffalo General. He said doctors expect results of the MRI to be available Monday.

Kaden was attacked Wednesday afternoon while he was being babysat by the dogs' owners at 228 70th St., Niagara Falls. The dogs, both 15 months old, were euthanized Thursday night. A GoFundMe page has been set up to assist with Kaden's medical bills.
