Nicholas Hardy, 28, of Fulton Street, had to be physically restrained as he began fighting with Buffalo Police officers who confronted him near his home late Saturday about an earlier Fulton Street incident.
Noting that Hardy fit the description of a suspect who allegedly made threats earlier in the 700 block of Fulton, he became "irate and combative" when officers confronted him near his home in the 600 block of Fulton about 11:11 p.m. Saturday, according to an arrest report.
Hardy allegedly gave a false name and began fighting the officers and damaged a patrol car until he was subdued. He was charged with felony counts of second-degree assault for attacking law enforcement officials, third-degree criminal mischief, resisting arrest and false personation.
He remained in custody at the Erie County Holding Center Sunday night.
