The Concord Democratic Committee has endorsed the Elect New Concord candidates for town offices in the November election.
Democrats endorsed Springville Mayor William Krebs as their candidate for Concord town supervisor and two political newcomers – Jon Hamann and Matthew Mayer – for Town Council seats.
Krebs, a retired high school teacher, was appointed to the Village Board in 1998 and has been Springville’s mayor since 2006. Hamann, a fly fishing expert, lives in Morton Corners and owns and operates the TroutLegend Store.
Mayer, business development manager for a software company that serves the restaurant industry and a former Colorado resident, serves on the Springville Community Development Committee.
“We are committed to reviving town government,” Krebs said. “From park improvements to senior services, to preserving our agricultural heritage and protecting open spaces, we are ready to do the hard work of making Concord a better place.”
