The Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda School District summer music program is open to all students in Western New York from July 3 to 27 at Kenmore East High School, 350 Fries Road. The deadline for registration is June 16.
Registration information is available on the district website: ktufsd.org. Registration is $50 and includes a free rental instrument for the summer. You must make arrangements with your current band or orchestra teacher prior to June 16 to have an instrument available.
There will be a string orchestra and band for students in grades 4-5, 6-8 and 9-12 and jazz ensembles for students in grades 5 to 12, as well as weekly lessons.
The student musicians will perform a jazz concert at 6 to 8 p.m. July 25 at Buffalo RiverWorks and a band concert from 6 to 8 p.m. July 27 in Niawanda Park.
