New Buffalo Medical Campus ramp to open four levels by fall

A new Ellicott Street parking ramp on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus is expected to have up to four levels complete in the fall when the John R. Oishei Children's Hospital opens and faculty begins arriving for University at Buffalo's new medical school.

Crews for contractor LeChase Construction Services have made noticeable improvement on the ramp at 854 Ellicott St. in recent weeks.

The eight-level ramp will replace the former Ellicott-Goodrich garage that was torn down and had 900 spaces.

Three levels are under construction in various stages of work on the $44 million ramp being built by the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus Inc.

When completed, the ramp will have about 1,814 spaces.
