Fiddleheads and ferns. Jack-in-the-pulpit. Cone flowers.

They're among the plants featured in an art exhibition in East Aurora.

"The Art of Native Plants" exhibition opens with a reception from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Meibohm Fine Arts gallery at 478 Main St. in the village.

Proceeds from sales of the artwork will benefit the Western New York Land Conservancy.

"It's all local artists and exhibits of work that highlight native plants," said Rachel Chrostowski, the conservancy's community engagement director.

The exhibition features 31 local artists and includes painting, photography and other art work. It runs through July 29.

The gallery's summer hours are Tuesday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
