Retailers are being shuffled at Walden Galleria to make room for the highly anticipated Zara store.
White House Black Market, currently on the first floor between H&M and Pottery Barn, will move, as will Free People, next door. Banana Republic, located next to Free People, will close June 26. Upstairs is space vacated by Aeropostale. White House Black Market had space nearby, but relocated down the hall.
"While we worked with Banana Republic to find an alternative location, we were ultimately unable to come to an agreement," said Michael Coene, the mall's general manager, in a statement.
Banana Republic has a location at Boulevard Mall. Unofficial site plans for the overhauled Northtown Plaza have also included a Banana Republic location.
The mall declined to say where the stores would relocate.
Zara will fill 30,309 square feet and have both upper and lower levels. It is expected to open in winter. Until now, the closest Zara store has been in Burlington, Ont.
