Niagara Falls man to serve two years for two burglaries and assault

Raekwon T. Ford of Niagara Falls has been sentenced to two years in the Niagara County Jail for two burglaries and an assault.

Ford, 19, of Augustus Place, pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree burglary for two house break-ins in the Falls: Sept. 20 on Frontier Avenue and Dec. 29 on Zito Drive. He also admitted to a count of child endangerment because a 15-year-old was present at the latter crime scene.

Ford also had pleaded guilty to third-degree assault for his role in a March 31, 2015, attack on a man who was walking in Liberty Park in Niagara Falls. The 51-year-old victim was beaten with his own cane, police said at the time.

State Supreme Court Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr. imposed the sentence.
