Rain forces postponement of Game Two of Georgetown Cup series

During a spring  in which Mother Nature has proven to be a dominant force, it's not surprising that she's making her presence felt once more during the final week of the scholastic season.

Monsignor Martin Executive Director Pete Schneider announced that today's scheduled Game Two of the Georgetown Cup championship series between St. Joe's and St. Mary's baseball teams has been postponed to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Coca-Cola Field.

St. Joe's leads the best-of-three series, 1-0, after capturing the opening game of the series, 7-5, on Monday.

St. Mary's must win Wednesday in order to force a winner-takes-all Game Three at 4 p.m. Thursday at Coca-Cola Field.
