Construction company owner to run for Wheatfield justice

Gary E. Strenkoski

Gary E. Strenkoski, owner of Strenkoski Brothers Construction Co., announced that he is running for Wheatfield town justice.

Strenkoski, a Republican, said he intends to enter the GOP, Democratic, Independence, Conservative and Working Families primaries in September.

Strenkoski, 64, has not run for political office before, but he has been active in the community as a volunteer. He has served on the boards of the Niagara USA Chamber, the Niagara-Wheatfield Athletic Association, Opportunities Unlimited and the Wheatfield Kiwanis Club. He also is a member of the Niagara Military Affairs Council and the LaSalle Sportsmen's Club.

"My life experiences have taught me how to be compassionate with people, but stern when required. I have learned to see people, both good and bad, for what they are. I will treat all people without prejudice and be fair,” Strenkoski said.

Incumbent Town Justice Erin P. DeLabio is running for Niagara County Family Court judge this fall.
