SUMMER READING – The annual Book and Media Sale for the Blind begins today and continues through Saturday in the studios of Niagara Frontier Radio Reading Service, 1199 Harlem Road, Cheektowaga, Hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. New stocks of books, DVDs, CDs, videos and cassettes are added every day. Proceeds support broadcasts of volunteers reading The Buffalo News, other newspapers, magazines and books for the sight-impaired, who listen via special “reading radios.” For more info, call 821-5555.

CREATIVE SPIRIT – Benjamin Spitler of the Buffalo Religious Arts Center will speak on creativity at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in the IMAGINE Buffalo lunchtime lecture series in the Central Library on Lafayette Square in downtown Buffalo.
The program will begin at noon in the Ring of Knowledge on the library’s main floor with another installment of the Great Courses video series on the Creative Thinker’s Toolkit, narrated by University at Buffalo professor Gerard Puccio. Admission is free. You can bring a lunch or purchase one at the library’s Fables Cafe nearby.
