Morning Pitch: Bisons and Knights close out series Sunday

The Buffalo Bisons and Charlotte Knights conclude their series on Sunday afternoon and the Bisons end their homestand.

Game day: 1:05 p.m. (Gates open at noon)

Promotion: The first 3,000 fans through the Swan gate will receive a Bisons Oven Mitt. It's also Buster's Kids Club Sunday and all kids can run the bases after the game. The Bisons will also celebrate Youth Baseball Day with a pre-game parade for area Little League players.

Weather: It's an iffy day according to which calls for showers and a few thunderstorms. A few storms may be severe. High 67. Winds SSW at 15 to 25 mph.

Probables: Righty Cesar Valdez scheduled to start for the Bisons against righty Chris Volstad.

Last game: T.J. House pitched six shutout innings as the Bisons earned a 4-0 win over the Knights on Saturday.

Top prospects: The top prospect in the Chicago White Sox organization is with the Knights and second baseman Yoan Moncada ranks high in the International League in a variety of offensive categories. As of Wednesday morning, Moncada had the sixth-best batting average (.312) and ranked second in on-base percentage (.401) and third in runs-scored (35). Friday's scheduled starter Carson Fulmer ranks sixth on the prospect list. Also on the list: pitchers Lucas Giolito (fourth), Reynaldo Lopez (fifth), Zach Burdi (eighth) and Brian Clark (29th) along with center fielder Brian Clark (29th).
