HUNGRY? – The Tonawandas Erie Canal Gateway Lions Club will sponsor a hot dog sale from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Valu Home Center in the Delton Plaza, 4264 Delaware Ave., Town of Tonawanda. Sahlen’s hots are $2. Pop is $1.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 930 Lake St., Angola, will offer its 19th annual chicken barbecue by Bob, Toni and Tony from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday. Dinners are $10. Take-out will be available until 5 p.m. or until sold out.

POLKAS AND MORE – St. John Kanty Church, 101 Swinburne St., will offer a Polka Mass, featuring Rare Vintage, at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, followed by a Summer Festival, featuring BW’s chicken barbecue from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. or until sold out. WELCOME BACK – Jon Noworyta, conductor of the Amherst Chamber Orchestra from 1994 to 1999, returns to the podium for its “Taste of Italy” concert at 3 p.m. Sunday in Trinity United Methodist Church, 711 Niagara Falls Blvd., Amherst.
The program includes Rossini’s “Italian Girl in Algiers” and Mendelssohn’s “Italian Symphony.” Nowortya is completing his doctorate at the University of Cincinnati. Admission is free. For more info, visit acemusic.org.
