A Dunkirk man was taken into police custody Thursday after he was arrested on drug charges.
Christian Maestre, 27, was arrested about 7 p.m. at a King Street residence on an outstanding City Court warrant charging him with one count each of criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal sale of a controlled substance.
Maestre is accused of selling an unspecified quantity of crack cocaine to agents of the Southern Tier Drug Task force on numerous occasions. Police on April 28, using a search warrant, seized a large quantity of crack cocaine and over $171,000, along with other items of evidence from Maestre's East 2nd Street residence.
Maestre was being held without bail in the Dunkirk City Jail until his arraignment in City Court.
