BASEBALL: Summer players ages 9-17 can extend their season through the fall with Team New Era Fall Elite Travel teams, which play league and tournaments games in September and October. Tryouts will be June 15 and July 19 at 5:30 p.m. for ages 9-11, 7 p.m. for ages 9-11 and 8:30 p.m. for ages 15-17, at New Era Depew training facility, 3950 Broadway. BASKETBALL: Hilbert College will host two girls camps, session I (July 16-20) is open to all players grades 3-12, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, with the option to stay in the dorms. Session II (July 30-August 3) is for high school players looking to compete at the next level. Players will stay in the dorms and have both on court and classroom instruction. Daemen College basketball coach Mike MacDonald and The MacDonald Basketball Academy’s first camp session for boys ages 5-14 will be July 10-14, session II August 7-11, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with early drop-off and late pick-up options available at no extra cost. Cost is $250 and each camper will receive their MBA that includes a reversible jersey, a t-shirt, a basketball and a travel bag. All two-week campers will receive an additional gift. The camp places a strong emphasis on fundamentals. A Mini-Mac league for campers 6-8 years old with smaller basketballs and special attention will also be available. BOWLING: The 17th Annual Junior Bowling Camp will be June 24-25 at Tonawanda Bowling Center. PBA coaches on staff from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. Lane play, spare shooting, mental game, sport shots are covered. Cost is $169.00 and includes lunch. Contact Mike Westfield, 982-5560 for more details.

GOLF: Lackawanna High School Scholarship Fundraiser Tournament will be July 15, with a 1:30 shotgun start at Ironwood Golf Course, Folsomdale Road, Cowlesville. Proceeds go to a scholarship for a Lackawanna high school student. Registration starts at noon and the cost is $100 per golfer and includes cart, lunch, chicken dinner. Payment deadline is July 6....The 10th Annual Don O’Brien Memorial Golf Outing will be July 12, at the Chestnut Hill Country Club, 1330 Broadway Darien Center, shotgun start at 10 a.m. Cost is $85.00 and includes cart, steak lunch, steak dinner, plus one hour open bar. LACROSSE: Hilbert College will host a camp for girls July 10-12. The morning session will be grades 3-7, no experience necessary. The afternoon session for 8-12 graders. More details at hilberthawks.com under the Events tab or contact coach Melissa Graham at mgraham@hilbert.edu.

RUGBY: The Buffalo Rugby Club (BRC) will hold Rookie Rugby clinics on June 5, 12, 19, and 26, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Nardin Academy Athletic Center, 1803 Elmwood Ave. Rookie Rugby is USA Rugby’s brand of flag rugby and is a safe, non-contact, easy-to-play version of rugby for girls and boys in elementary and middle school.
