One day before Roger Waters releases his first new material in over two decades, the English rock star - and a founding member of Pink Floyd - has announced a tour stop in Buffalo, slated for Sept. 9 in KeyBank Center.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. June 9. Prices range from $55 to $199.50 and can be purchased at the KeyBank Center box office, Tickets.com or by calling 888-223-6000. A limited number of handbills are now available.
He's only been on the road for a week, but Waters and his 'Us & Them' tour are well on their way to topping the numbers for the 2010-2013 "The Wall" tour, which set box office records around the globe.
Fans in the region set their sights on Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Toronto as their likely road-trip destinations upon the announcement of initial tour dates in February, but now, they'll have a chance to catch the show at home.
On June 2, Waters releases "Is This the Life We Really Want?", which the artist co-produced with Nigel Godrich (Radiohead, Paul McCartney, Beck).
Waters and band will perform songs from the new album on the 'Us & Them" tour, as well as material culled from Pink Floyd's "Animals," "Dark Side of the Moon," "The Wall" and "Wish You Were Here" albums.
The tour, as has always been Waters' wont, will have a decidedly socio-political bent. Waters has been an outspoken critic of President Trump, and video clips from the tour to date reveal that critical bent will feature heavily in both musical and visual components of the show.
