Hamburg (12-5) has won the last five Class B sectional titles, all against Niagara Wheatfield (11-6). The last time the Bulldogs didn't win the section was 2011, when they lost to the Falcons in overtime. Hamburg won a close 12-11 game at Wheatfield during the regular season.
- 1-Grand Island vs. 2-West Seneca East, 5 p.m.
- 1-Akron vs. 2-Eden, 7:30 p.m.

Akron (16-1) is the three-time defending champion in Class C and can make it four straight on Thursday in the brand-new Class D. The Tigers have won 15 in a row since losing to Canisius on March 30. Eden (14-3) has played Akron as tough as anyone this year, losing 14-8 on April 21 and 12-11 in overtime on May 16.
2. Girls lacrosse - Section VI Class A & D championships
After the Class B and C finals yesterday, the Class D and A finalists get their time to shine at Sweet Home on Thursday. Winners move on to the Far West Regionals on Saturday at All High Stadium.

- 1-Frontier vs. 2-Lancaster, 7:30 p.m.
East Aurora (13-2) went undefeated in the newly-formed Class D during the regular season, including 8-6 and 5-4 wins over Eden (8-6). The Blue Devils won two of three games against the Raiders last season.
Frontier (17-0), the last undefeated team in Western New York, has a chance to end Lancaster's five-year reign on Class A. The Falcons have lost in the finals each year after winning it all in 2011. The Legends (13-4) lost 8-4 and 10-9 games to Frontier in league play.
