Bills sign cornerback Greg Mabin, release safety Jonathan Dowling

The Buffalo Bills keep churning the bottom of their roster.

On Thursday, they added one cornerback, rookie Greg Mabin, while releasing safety Jonathan Dowling.

Mabin joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent from Iowa. The Bucs released him on May 9.

During his three seasons with the Hawkeyes, Maben made three interceptions and 144 tackles.

His father, Dr. Wesley Mabin, was a cornerback for Nebraska and part of two Cornhusker national championships, in 1970 and '71. His cousin, Jordan Mabin, played cornerback for the Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens, San Diego Chargers, and Atlanta Falcons.
