A Lockport man was arrested Wednesday in connection with an alleged rape that police said occurred in 2015, according to State Police.
Jordan R. Patterson, 22, faces a charge of first-degree rape, a class B felony, according to State Police.
Officers from the agency's Bureau of Criminal Investigations were notified Friday of a possible rape that had allegedly occurred in September 2015 in the Town of Lockport, and interviewed the 19-year-old victim, who was 18 at the time of the incident, according to State Police.
Following the investigation, police arrested Patterson, State Police said.
According to State Police, the victim decided to report the crime after the City of Lockport Police on April 27 released a news release about Patterson's arrest for second-degree rape in connection with another case.
Patterson was being held in the Niagara County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail. Police are asking anyone with information to call 434-1245.
