Flying to Grand Cayman will soon be easier

Grand Cayman wants Western New Yorkers to come visit, and perhaps the feeling is mutual.

This summer, Southwest Airlines will add new flights to the Cayman Islands from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport to Owen Roberts International Airport in Grand Cayman. Western New Yorkers can catch connecting flights at the Florida airport, which is serviced by the Buffalo Niagara International Airport.

The flights, which are nonstop, begin June 4. Flights are open for booking and cost from $400 to $500. There will be one flight per day and service will be available year round.
