Morning Pitch: Bisons aim for three straight vs. Syracuse

Last game: Bisons 6, Syracuse 3. It was the second straight win for Buffalo over Syracuse and the fourth win in five games vs. the Chiefs this season. Catcher Raffy Lopez is a new man at the plate.

Pitching: Scheduled to start Wednesday for the Bisons is T.J. House (4-2, 2.38) vs. Joe Ross (0-2, 6.75).

Prospect watch: The top Nationals prospects on the Syracuse roster are pitcher Austin Voth and left fielder Andrew Stevenson. Voth, rated No. 6, was a fifth-round pick out of the University of Washington in 2013. Stevenson, a second round pick out of Louisiana State in 2015. He has speed. The top Jays prospect on the Bisons’ roster is Rowdy Tellez, ranked No. 6 by Baseball America.

WCC Race: Chicken Wing won for a mascot-leading the eighth time this season.

The homestand: Buffalo and Syracuse conclude the series at 6:05 p.m. Thursday. Scheduled starters are Luis Santos (1-2, 5.50) for Buffalo and Greg Ross (1-2, 7.71) for Syracuse. Buffalo plays host to Pawtucket Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Star Wars: The Bisons report fewer than 5,000 seats remain for Star Wars Night on June 3.
