Voice of Comedy Central Kyle Kinane comes to Buffalo

Kyle Kinane hasn’t just been on Comedy Central with half-hour specials and appearances on shows like “@midnight” and “Drunk History.” He is the voice of Comedy Central, as you can hear him during channel promos and commercials. He returns to Buffalo for five shows at Helium Comedy Club from May 18-20.

The comedian is a popular guest on several podcasts with large followings, including “Comedy Bang! Bang!,” “Doug Loves Movies,” “The Adam Carolla Show,” “WTF” and “The Nerdist.” He has released two specials on DVD, “Whiskey Icarus” and “I Liked His Old Stuff Better.”

His latest special, “Loose in Chicago,” was produced by Comedy Central last year. Kinane’s last show in Buffalo helped tune him up for the recording.

“I’m happy with it, but it’s not perfect,” Kinane told The News last year. “It’s never, ‘That joke can’t be told any other way.’ There’s always other ways to tell a joke.”

Info: Kyle Kinane will perform at 8 p.m. May 18 and 7:30 and 10 p.m. May 19 and 20 at Helium Comedy Club (30 Mississippi St.). Tickets range from $17 to $24 and are available at Helium’s online site or the box office.
