First pitch: Hall of Famer Tim Raines will toss the ceremonial first pitch on Tuesday. Raines was elected into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in January and will be formally inducted this summer. He played 23 seasons and was a seven-time All-Star. In 2,502 career games he hit .294 with 713 extra-base hits while driving in 980 runs. He was a member of the New York Yankees 1996 World Series team.
Last game: The Bisons scored twice in the eighth to take an 8-6 win over Syracuse in the homestand opener.
Probables: Buffalo righty Cesar Valdez (1-0, 0.00) is scheduled to start against Syracuse righty Kyle McGowin (1-2, 6.39).
The homestand: The Herd hosts Syracuse with games at 6:05 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The Bisons then host Pawtucket on Friday (7:05 p.m.), Saturday (1:05 p.m.) and Sunday (1:05 p.m.)
