Morning Pitch: Bisons open a three-game series with Lehigh Valley

The weather looks a bit frightful for baseball, but the Buffalo Bisons and Lehigh Valley IronPigs will attempt to kick off a three-game series Friday night at Coca-Cola Field.

Today's game: 7:05 p.m. (Gates open at noon)

Weather: It's going to be a dicey again. Friday's forecast calls for cloudy skies with showers in the afternoon with showers and thundershowers during the evening according to High 57.

Probables: Righty Mike Bolsinger (1-1, 1.46) is scheduled to start for the Herd against Lehigh Valley righty Jake Thompson (1-3, 6.65).

Last game: Thursday was the sixth rainout of the season for the Bisons and fifth at Coca-Cola Field.

Top prospects: The IronPigs have three of the top five rated prospects in the Philadelphia Phillies organization according to J.P. Crawford is the No. 1 rated prospect in the organization but the shortstop is batting just .153. Catcher Jorge Alfaro is rated third and is batting .318 while outfielder Nick Williams is ranked fourth and hitting .267.

Bisons' first baseman Rowdy Tellez is the fifth-ranked prospect in the Toronto Blue Jays organization while outfielder Dwight Smith, Jr., is 26th.
