Several police and fire agencies searched several hours Thursday for a 13-year-old West Seneca girl who ran away from her mother while shopping in Orchard Park.
The teenager was later found hiding in a Target bathroom.
The mother and daughter were shopping in the Quaker Crossing shopping plaza in Orchard Park when they got into an argument and the girl ran away, Orchard Park police said.
Her mother told police she may have gone into a wooded area behind the plaza, police said.
After a search by the police, members of the Windom Fire Co., state park rangers and the Erie County Sheriff's Office K-9 division, a firefighter found the girl hiding in the women's bathroom inside Target.
The teen was returned to her mother's custody, police said.
