Prostitution, drug charges follow City of Tonawanda raid

City of Tonawanda police say they busted a prostitution operation on Wednesday night where the proceeds from paid sex acts allegedly were used to buy drugs.

Four people from the City of Tonawanda were charged after a 7 p.m. raid at an Elm Street apartment where police said they found heroin, marijuana, hypodermic needles and other drug paraphernalia.

Police charged Allison M. Gough, 27, with two counts of prostitution, criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal nuisance, authorities said.

They also charged Scott T. Oram, 27, with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal nuisance. Also charged were William F. Joyce, 37, and Latiquah D. Harris, 23, with each facing a criminal nuisance charge.

Gough, who had two outstanding bench warrants for City of Tonawanda Drug Court, had bail set at $25,000, according to police. Bail for Oram was set at $5,000, while Joyce and Harris were released on appearance tickets, police said.
