The last time Alton Brown visited Buffalo, in 2014, the Food Network star crowd-sourced the restaurants and coffee shops he should visit. The response was tremendous, with hundreds of retweets and favorites accompanying his visits to Spot Coffee, Ted's, Paula's Donuts, Schwabl's and the Anchor Bar.
Brown has scheduled another trip to the Queen City, as the host of "Iron Chef America" and founder of "Good Eats" will speak at 7 p.m. Nov. 2 in the University at Buffalo Center for the Arts. His 2014 visit sold out the CFA.
Tickets, which run from $47 to $127 (VIP), go on sale at noon May 11. Visit the Center for the Arts box office (noon to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Friday) as well as tickets.com. What kind of entertainment does Brown have up his sleeve? A UB release delves into his "live culinary variety show," which will include "new songs, new comedy, new puppets, and bigger and better potentially dangerous food demonstrations.”
