Alvarez team eighth in Tokyo

Anita Alvarez of Kenmore and Victoria Woroniecki of Palm Coast, Fla., finished their Far East swing of the FINA Synchronized Swimming World Series on Sunday by placing eighth in duet.

They scored 83.5000 points in the duet free to place eighth at the Japan Open. Combined with Saturday’s 81.8864 score in duet tech, they finished eighth overall with 165.3864 points. Host Japan won gold with 183.1054 points, followed by Canada (177.9450) and Greece (173.6279).
