Authorities hunt man who used bogus bills at Lockport fast-food outlet

TOWN OF LOCKPORT - Authorities are hunting for an East Amherst man who used counterfeit $100 bills at the South Transit Road McDonald’s restaurant twice last week.

The man  took off from the restaurant drive-through about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday after trying to pay for an order with a bogus bill, then observed an employee scrutinize the money  with a counterfeit-detecting pen, according to Niagara County Sheriff's deputies.

On  Monday, a counterfeit bill also was used at the fast-food location, when the man's photo and license plate number were obtained by security cameras, deputies said .
