First 100 days were worse than expected
President Trump’s 100th day in office, his so-called honeymoon period, is over. During this time, the country has listened, almost daily, to half-truths and complete fabrications emanating from him. Certainty regarding people or events has changed 180 degrees from one day to the next, straining believability.
His narcissism finds no room for empathy for the less fortunate or those of different ethnic backgrounds, or for proper treatment of women. To millions, “Making Our Country Great Again” means lining the pockets of a few while diminishing everything we stand for and quashing opposing view.
Sadly, moderate Republicans in Congress seem overwhelmed by the far right. The administration is running amok in skirting the law and evading established rules. Until politicians have the courage of their convictions and become serious about putting country over party, citizens must get serious about voting in all elections.
