Fortunately for those who don't want to wait in line at Larkin Square during the rabidly popular Food Truck Tuesdays, Buffalo boasts other appealing food truck events at different locations and times.
Food Truck Thursdays begin April 27 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Niagara Square, and they'll run weekly through September. Like at Larkin, there will be a rotation of trucks participating, with roughly 15 serving each Thursday.
Twenty-four trucks, a record number for the 3-year-old event, have applied to participate for this spring and summer.
Here is a list of the trucks participating on opening day:
*Ted's Hot Dogs
*Frank Gourmet Hot Dogs
*Mineo & Sapio
*Green Acres Ice Cream
The fifth annual Food Truck Rodeo series, with events held monthly outside the Buffalo History Museum (1 Museum Court), has released its dates for the 2017 season. The family-friendly gatherings will run from 5 to 8 p.m. on June 7, July 5, Aug. 2 and Sept. 6.
Twelve to 15 trucks will gather in the parking lot, while free admission to the museum, music from DJ Milk and children's activities also offered. Important note: The trains will be running inside the museum's train gallery, too.
