South Buffalo man charged with gun, cocaine possession

A South Buffalo man was arrested Tuesday on gun and drug possession charges, authorities said.

Erie County probation officers went to a home on the first block of Turner Avenue after receiving a tip, the probation department said. They found guns and drugs and alerted Buffalo police, the department said.

Police officers found a loaded handgun, a shotgun and cocaine, Buffalo police said in a news release.

Seth DeAnthony, 44, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, Buffalo police said.

State parole officers assisted with the arrest, police said.
