Roswell Park Cancer Institute's weekly farmers' market returns for a new season June 7, running for consecutive Wednesdays through much of the summer and September.
The market runs Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Kaminski Park & Gardens on the Roswell Park campus at Carlton Street between North Oak and Elm streets.
The market will not run in August or into early October, which proved to be slower periods for market traffic compared with June, July and September.
Products for sale include locally grown fruits and vegetables, meat, fresh pasta, salsas and dips, pet treats, flowers, plants and handmade products from local vendors. Live musicians perform during most or all market events which are open to the public.
“It’s a convenient way for all of us in and around Roswell Park – staff, patients, visitors and neighbors — to get locally grown and locally made products to eat, enjoy or give to someone we love," said Cynthia Schwartz, director of the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation Ambassador Program.
The market is accessible by bus and Metro Rail via the Allen/Medical Campus Station.
