The Oliver Street Merchant's Association holds monthly cash mobs to bring recognition to locally owned businesses in Tonawanda. This month, strap on your skates and wear your best '80s fashion to this party celebrating all things '80s. It's free for non skaters.

Shonen Knife. 7:30 p.m. The Waiting Room, 334 Delaware Ave. 853-5483. $13-$15.

Garage, pop and punk come together in this Japanese all-girl band which was started more than two decades ago. This is a chance to not only see a unique musical act, but a band from the other side of the world.

Flux Pavilion. 8 p.m. Town Ballroom, 681 Main St. 852-3900. $30-$35.

One of the most well-known dubstep producers and DJ's of the past five years, Flux Pavilon's shows are a party that you've just got to be at to experience firsthand.

Kitchen Dwellers. 8 p.m. Buffalo Iron Works, 49 Illinois St. 200-1893. $10.

Fans of bluegrass should not miss this one. Kitchen Dwellers take traditional bluegrass and dial it up to 11 with a unique approach to the genre fans have dubbed "galaxy grass."
