An extradition hearing is scheduled Tuesday in Erie, Pa., for an Eden man accused of killing his mother Thursday in the home they shared.
Wayne Kozak, 48, is being held in Erie, where he was apprehended by Pennsylvania State Police. The hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m., according to a spokeswoman for the Erie County District Attorney's Office.
Eden and state police tracked Kozak to a hotel in Erie last week, after discovering the body of his mother, Mary Louise Kozak, 79, in her home. An arrest warrant for Kozak was faxed to Pennsylvania State Police. They entered the hotel room, and found Kozak in a bathroom. He was arrested without incident, Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn said.
He is expected to be arraigned on a charge of second-degree murder when he is returned to Western New York.
