Library book sale planned in North Tonawanda

The Friends of the North Tonawanda Public Library will hold its annual used book sale from May 3 to May 6.

Hardcovers are $2, paperbacks are $1, Harlequin-style paperbacks are 50 cents, magazines are 25 cents each or five for $1, CDs and DVDs are $1, and records, audio cassettes and VHS tapes are 25 cents.

Friends of the Library members get first crack at the sale from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. May 3. The sale opens to the public from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. May 4 and from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 5. Bring a brown paper bag and fill it for $5 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. May 6. Those who join Friends of the Library for $7 ($10 for a family) will gain early access to the sale. Lifetime memberships are available for $50.

The sale will be held at the North Tonawanda Public Library, 505 Meadow Drive, North Tonawanda.
