WALL, Helen "Ann" (Driscoll)

WALL - Helen "Ann" (nee Driscoll) April 12, 2017. From humble beginnings working on the Driscoll family farm in Leicester, NY to answering the call of Father Nelson Baker to care for the orphan (Baker Boys) and the special needs children. Ann served Our Lady of Victory Services as a Child Care Technician - later to be called Baker Victory Services - for approximately 50 years, while raising four of her own children. Ann received a Distinguished Services Award upon her retirement in 2001. Ann was a life-long member of V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Post 898, served as President of the P.T.A. at Washington Elementary School, was a volunteer at the Lackawanna Food Pantry and volunteered for other organizations. Ann is the daughter of the late John and Mary (Daly) Driscoll; predeceased by siblings Edward (Dolores) Driscoll, Kathleen (Louis) Ebert and Mary Jean (John) Long; and sister of John and James (Cathy) Driscoll. Ann is survived by her devoted and dedicated husband Norman for 57 years. Norman was her sole care provider during her lengthy illness. Beloved and cherished children Anthony, David (Roxanne), Norman (Kelly) and Marylynn (James) Zelazny. Marylynn also was very instrumental in Ann's care. Grandchildren Lukus (Ashley Olsen), Brittany, Nolan, Christopher and Michael; great-grandchildren Ariana, Graysen and baby boy to be; as well as many loved nieces and nephews. Ann enjoyed spending time with her family, church, camping, holidays, working on crossword puzzles, reading, traveling, and was an avid Sabres and Bills fan. Visitation Tuesday 2-4 and 6-9 PM at THE COLONIAL MEMORIAL CHAPELS, INC., 3003 South Park Ave., Lackawanna, NY. Prayers Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church at 11:30. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made to Hospice Buffalo in Ann's name.
