UB baseball loses third straight at Toledo

Kyle Brennan delivered a two-run homer and Chris Kwitzer had two hits and three RBIs, but the University at Buffalo (10-22, 3-6 MAC) dropped a 7-6 game at Toledo in Mid-American Conference baseball. Toledo swept all three games in the three-day series with the Bulls.

Brennan’s homer gave UB a 4-2 lead in the third inning. Kwitzer delived a single for his third RBI to make it 5-3 in the fourth but Toledo tied the game in the sixth on a two-run homer by Matt Hansen and made it 7-5 with two runs in the seventh.

UB will face Canisius at 3 p.m. on Tuesday at the Demske Athletic Complex. The Golden Griffins swept a doubleheader from UB, 6-5 and 13-5, last week at Demske in their first meetings of the season.
