Three Niagara Street men facing drug-selling charges were arrested about 5 p.m. Friday as they crouched behind a tree in a vacant lot on Lakeview Avenue, Buffalo police said.

Jose Perez, 46, and Nicolas Davila and Armando Torres, both 49, were charged with fourth- and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Police said they recovered a gravity knife, 128 envelopes of cocaine, 56 envelopes of heroin, two used syringes, one bottle cap with heroin residue and $238 in cash.

The three suspects remained in custody in the Erie County Holding Center Saturday night.
