Where is the GOP’s outrage when our children are killed?

So President Trump and his minions, such as Rep. Chris Collins, are rightly appalled by the horrific death of children in Syria, as are we all. They all cheered the military response, ineffectual as it was. However, one must ask: Where was the comparable Republican outrage when our own American children were slaughtered at Newtown? Where was the resolution to see that this didn’t happen again? Where was the concerted effort on the part of all Republicans to ensure that common-sense background checks, favored by 95 percent of Americans at the time, were put into place to protect future children?

Never mind. The Republicans were silent in the face of the horrific death of our own children. They all are complicit in the future death of children in the U.S. from gun violence, while they gnash their teeth at the death of children in other countries. What a bunch of hypocrites.
