A vacant building in the city's Fruit Belt neighborhood built more than 100 years ago sustained heavy damage in a fire overnight.
The blaze at 238 Carlton St., at the corner of Locust Street, was reported at 11:46 p.m. Tuesday, the Buffalo Fire Department Alarm Office said.
Damage was pegged at $100,000. The two-story, brick structure was built in 1910, according to city property records.
No injuries were reported among firefighters and the cause of the fire is under investigation, the Alarm Office said.
