Joseph D. Light of the Town of Niagara pleaded not guilty Tuesday to robbing a robbing a Northwest Bank on Military Road in that town Nov. 16.
Light, 28, of Lockport Road, is charged with robbery and grand larceny, both in the third degree, meaning he stole more than $3,000, Niagara County Assistant District Attorney Doreen M. Hoffmann said.
State Supreme Court Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr. ordered Light held in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or a $100,000 bond. Light completed a four-year prison sentence last June for a 2012 burglary conviction in Niagara County.
