Kenmore Village Improvement Society seeks scholarship applicants

The Kenmore Village Improvement Society is seeking student applicants for  five scholarships, including its Christopher and Frederick Sachs scholarships and its Northtown Subaru Dog Days of Kenmore scholarship.

Applications are available at www.villageofkenmore.com/scholarships. All applications must be completed and mailed to KVISS, 16 Warren Ave., Kenmore, NY 14217 by April 30.

The Sachs scholarships are available to Kenmore or Town of Tonawanda residents younger than 22 who have made positive contributions to their neighborhoods through volunteer or service work through  their school or community activities. Applicants must have been accepted to a degree program at an accredited college or university.

The Northtown Subaru Dog Days of Kenmore scholarship is presented to any student living in  Kenmore or the Town of Tonawanda who has made contributions to dog and animal welfare through school or other activities. Students who apply must be younger than  22 and must be accepted to an accredited college or university.

The Northtown Subaru Dogs Days of Kenmore will mark its seventh year on June 11. More information on the event is available at www.dogdayswny.com or Facebook.com/dogdayswny.
